Synopsis

In the 1960s Baltimore, aspiring reporter Maddie Schwartz (Natalie Portman) investigates the disappearance of a young girl, setting her on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood (Moses Ingram), a hard-working and determined mother searching for her missing daughter. Amidst the city's racial tensions and secrets, both women confront their own personal demons and the sinister forces that threaten to destroy them.

The miniseries features an all-star cast, including Ylan Noel, Brett Gelman, and Mia Kirshner. Based on the novel by Laura Lippman, "Lady in the Lake" is directed by Alma Harel and premieres on Apple TV+ on July 19th.
